Pershing 40  

The Pershing 40 was and still is a perfect med boat. Plenty of sunbathing forwards and aft, sociable cockpit, great shade systems, coupled with a robust shaft drive system and good mechanical Caterpillar engines. Simple to maintain, systems you can get at and lots of boat for the money. This good example has had a refit in 2015 including new blue paint work.

Construction

Hull: GRP – modified deep V. Hand laid glassfibre construction with isopthalic gel coat backed by initial lay-up of powder bound matt and isopthalic resin. White hull with navy metallic painted band (new paint 2015)

Deck: GRP – moulded non-slip surfaces on side decks.

Cockpit/Bathing Platform: GRP – non-slip

Interior Colours: Furniture finished in white laquer. Biscuit leather upholstery in saloon, Navy curtains in all cabins. Cream bound berber carpets

Exterior Colours: Helm console finished with black enamelled panels. White cockpit upholstery.

Accommodation

2-cabin layout: main double owner’s stateroom in bow, Aft cabin with twin beds and en-suit heads. Saloon with seating and table to starboard and galley to port. Heads access for saloon and forecabin.

Forecabin:

Large double bed; small hanging locker; below berth draws; opening portholes and hatch with fly screens.

 

Shower/WC: Washbasin; shower with automatic pump-out; extractor fan. Electric vacuum heads

Saloon:

U-shaped sofa and dining table to starboard in Biscuit leather. Opening table with adjustable leg. Storage below seating area and switch panel. Storage lockers above seating area.

Galley:

White lacquer tops fold back to reveal worktop; 2-burner gas hob, stainless steel sink. Overhead lockers with combination microwave, and grill. Galley fridge as well as an additional top loading fridge in the corner unit.

Aft Cabin:

Accesses via the cockpit giving good privacy this cabin had twin beds with central unit. Storage lockers aft and handing wardrobe on the port hand side. In addition there is an en-suit heads with wash basin.

Air conditioning unit in saloon feeding into forward cabin too.
